Job Title: Phlebotomist

Location: Lagos

Job Objective

To ensure phlebotomy and front desk activities are carried out effectively and efficiently
To ensure clients receive excellent customer service in line with the organisational goals
Job Requirements

Diploma in Phlebotomy or Medical Laboratory Technology.
1 - 3 years proven experience as a Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician.
Experience with effective puncture techniques.
Understanding of proper patient identification methods
Knowledge of legal requirements about drawing blood, handling fluid samples and use of relevant medical equipment and material.
Ability to use computers to enter information.
Excellent communication skills.
Attention to detail.
Ability to connect with various types of patients (such as children, elderly, pregnant women) and make them feel comfortable.

Police locked up Alake of Egbaland palace ground

Policemen believed to be from the Ogun State Police Command on Saturday, took over the Ake Palace Ground in Ake, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, the venue of a parallel State congress of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State. The Police who were seen at the venue of the parallel congress, believed to be  loyal to former Governor Ibikunle Amosun, locked up the gate to the Palace preventing party faithful from gaining access. During a briefing session a day before we were to have practical during my 100level, We had been told that it is a customary to always put on the ‘laboratory coat’ each and every time we have practicals, hence whosoever without the laboratory coat will be punished.
