Ogun AMELTAN honoured September 25 victims

The Association of Medical Laboratory Technicians and Assistants of Nigeria, AMELTAN, Ogun State chapter honoured the victims of September 25th 2011 auto accident.

The program was targeted to commemorate the 10th year post accident event, conference, investiture of patron, interaction with the representative of Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria and to honour the victims from the state.

It was on record that Ogun state sent four delegates to the Medical Laboratory Technicians and Assistants conference in Kaduna on Friday 23rd September 2011, but involved in auto accident on their way coming on Sunday 25th September 2011 in which two delegates from Oyo state loss their life at the spot at Birnin-gwari in Kaduna state.

The four delegates sent from Ogun State were returned back to the state few day after the accident with various degree of injury sustained in the accident.

The delegates were as followed, Com Elder Solomon Akinshola Akinsanya (NVP, West), Com Evang James Olusegun Adejola (immediate past state chairman), Com Elder Samuel A. Oguntade (Present state chairman) and Com Emmanuel Adewale Oyero (immediate past state organizing secretary).

Police locked up Alake of Egbaland palace ground

Policemen believed to be from the Ogun State Police Command on Saturday, took over the Ake Palace Ground in Ake, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, the venue of a parallel State congress of All Progressives Congress, APC, in the State. The Police who were seen at the venue of the parallel congress, believed to be  loyal to former Governor Ibikunle Amosun, locked up the gate to the Palace preventing party faithful from gaining access. Many people believed to have been mobilised for the parallel congress were seen loitering around the Palace, unable to enter the venue. It was confirmed through independence  that the Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba (Dr) Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo was inside the Palace when the gate was locked on both APC members and the Palace inhabitants.
